Search Assist

Search Assist is a special add-on product that is free for partners as long as the query leads to a Yahoo search results page. Search Assist provides suggestions for completed search queries based on partial strings of characters. These suggestions are based on billions of searches performed globally.

Search Assist is lightweight, easy to integrate and powerful. It is already built into the Yahoo Hosted Search product, but partners can also add this product to their other search boxes to improve user experience when driving to Yahoo search results. Search Assist is accessible as a standalone API to power search boxes in the partner's own experience.

This product is available internationally and across platforms. In early testing, we have seen about a +3% increase in the number of searches after adding Search Assist to the search box, but results may vary.
